Meet the Team

The Executive Team is led by CEO Sarah Fisher, the diverse team manage administrive and clinical aspects of the service at Harley Street at Queen's.

Sarah Fisher, Chief Executive Officer HCA NHS Ventures, has been an integral member of the HCA International team since 2002.

Sarah began her career in nursing with the NHS at St George's and King's Hospitals. She went on to hold management positions within the NHS at King's Hospital after which moved into the private sector holding senior management positions with The Nuffield Hospital Group.

In 2002, Sarah joined HCA where she spent 4 years as Chief Nursing Officer at The Wellington Hospital. In 2006, Sarah was appointed Chief Operations Officer of The Harley Street Clinic and Cancer Services, including their operations of a joint partnership with UCLH (Harley Street at UCH).

In September 2009, a subsidiary of HCA called HCA NHS Ventures was formed and Sarah was appointed as CEO. Committed to taking NHS Ventures forward Sarah has since gone on to open a further two joint partnerships, Harley Street at Queen's, at Queen's Hospital Romford and The Christie Clinic, at The Christies in Manchester.

As the Chief Operating Officer of HCA NHS Ventures Claire ensures a seamless patient journey.

Claire has spent the majority of her career in nursing and has a keen interest in Haematology which was her specialist area, in particular that of bone marrow transplant.

Moving into the private sector in 2007, Claire joined HCA International as Clinical Services Manager of The Harley Street Clinic Cancer Service and the Haematology Service at Harley Street at UCH. In Sept 2009, a subsidiary of HCA called HCA NHS Ventures was formed where Claire was appointed Chief Operating Officer.

Elliot Sims is the Medical Director of Harley Street at Queen's and the Clinical Lead of Radiotherapy at Queen's Hospital; his specialty is clinical Oncology with sub specialties in Breast Cancer and Brain Tumors.

As Medical Director Elliot Sims provides leadership for clinical standards, auditing and clinical governance across Harley Street at Queen's. His Qualifications include MA MD MRCP FRCR. Elliot Sims qualified at Cambridge and trained at St Bartholomew's and the Middlesex Hospitals. He completed his post graduate research for MD London University and regularly teaches on both Royal College Radiologists Oncology (FRCR) and Whipps Cross Higher Surgical (FRCS) exit courses.

Louise Mills joined HCA as Clinical Services Manager in March 2011. Prior to this Louise worked as a registered sick Children's nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital for 12 years on the Haematology / Oncology Unit, she then went on to work for BUPA as head of nursing where she developed and implemented home chemotherapy services for patients in the community and managed adult and paediatric patients requiring continuing care for complex needs.

As clinical Services Manager of Harley Street at Queen's, Louise ensures the effective day-to-day running of the centre through the management and leadership of senior nursing staff and allied health professionals. Louise's main priority is ensuring that a high quality of care is provided to patients at all times, in a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

Louise belongs to both the NMC and RCN. Her qualifications include RSCN, MSc Advanced Nurse Practitioner, N59, RCN Leadership and NVQ Assessor.

Denise joined HCA in October 2010. Having worked in chemotherapy for 10 years, Denise previously worked within the Barking, Havering and Redbridge Trust as the manager of the Chemotherapy Day Unit at King George's Hospital. Latterly, she was the unit manager of the Oncology Haematology Day Unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

As Modern Matron of Harley Street at Queen's Denise oversees the running of both the Chemotherapy Day Unit and the inpatient ward including the High Dependency Unit. She is responsible for the continuous improvement of patient care and developing nurse practice in response to patient needs. Denise ensures the implementation of best practice clinical standards within nursing teams to ensure a high standard of care is delivered to our patients, her clinical leadership ensures high quality nursing care is consistently delivered and monitored.

Denise belongs to the NMC. She has a Diploma in higher education in nursing and has undertaken many Oncology and Haematology courses.

Marisa joined HCA in 1995 and was internally promoted to Business Office Manager for Harley Street at Queen's. Marisa takes care of all matters relating to patient administration from admission and billing, to liaison with medical insurance providers and providing self-pay quotations. Marissa and her team are dedicated to making each patient's admission and care as simple as possible. The Business Office team also works very closely with the consultants and clinical team to ensure each individual patient's needs are catered for.
