Lymphoma - Non Hodgkin

As with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) affects the lymphatic system much in the same way. There are various types of non Hodgkin’s lymphoma:

B-cell Lymphomas include:

  • Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma
  • Follicular lymphoma
  • Extranodal marginal zone b-cell – MALT
  • Mantle cell
  • Burkitt lymphoma
  • Mediastinal large b-cell lymphoma
  • Mmall lymphocytic lymphoma
  • Lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma

T-cell Lymphomas include:

  • Peripheral T cell lymphoma
  • Skin (cutaneous) lymphomas
  • Anaplastic large cell
  • Lymphoblastic lymphoma (most commonly T cell but can be B cell lymphomas)

B cell lymphomas are more common than T-cell Lymphomas.

Following diagnosis your doctor/consultant will talk to you specifically about the type of NHL you have, they will be able to answer any of your questions.
