Patients also have direct access to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within the main hospital and when necessary patients can be cared for here.
Surgical Care
Surgical patients are treated in the Queen’s operating theatres by their Consultant Surgeon who will be assisted by a team of specialist medical professionals.
Day Care
When appropriate, patients are treated in the comprehensive Day Care Unit which has 7 chemotherapy chairs and is designed to make the patient’s stay as comfortable as possible, with dedicated nurses on hand.
Radiotherapy
Advanced radiotherapy treatment will be delivered through the use of a state-of-the art linear accelerator available exclusively to our private patients.
Radiotherapy treatment will be provided in the radiotherapy department, which is situated on the ground floor of Queen’s Hospital. Treatment may be provided on an outpatient or inpatient basis this will be dependent on each patient’s medical condition.
